| Michael J. Higgins has served as Ironwood’s chief operating officer and chief financial officer since joining the Company in 2003. Prior to 2003, Mr. Higgins held a variety of senior business positions at Genzyme Corporation, including vice president of corporate finance. He serves on the board of directors of Microbia, Inc., Ironwood’s majority-owned subsidiary. Mr. Higgins earned a B.S. from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College. |
